Electric Transmission

Our environmental studies for siting and permitting electric transmission lines have included both alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) overhead, underground, and submarine cable power lines and substation facilities.

We have conducted more than 235 transmission line siting and analysis studies of which more than 100 have been high-voltage transmission lines (115 kilovolt (kV) and above). Approximately 40 of these high-voltage transmission lines were interstate projects, and several of these projects crossed up to six states and analyzed more than 3,000 miles of alternatives.
